Saturday, August 8Trout fishing outing and time of congregational fellowship at Hedberg Lake (located across the Kenai Spur Hwy from the church). All are invited. The lake is stocked yearly with trout that begin small but can also be up to 12” or more in size.

  • For those who develop an appetite we will be cooking hot dogs and/or hamburgers on a portable grill. You are welcome (and encouraged) to bring other picnic food. If you have a portable grill a second one would be appreciated.
  • We will have some extra poles (ready to use) for those who do not have them, plus bait, lures, etc à including at least one flat bottomed row-boat and a variety of life jacket sizes.
  • We are hoping for volunteers who would like to help with children and can bring extra poles, children’s life jackets, or an additional boat (no motors) that does not require a boat trailer ramp to launch.
  • FYI: there will be a portable toilet on-site.
